Finest acanthus scroll engraving, retaining approx. 50% original colour -hardening and finish, lock plates signed 'ALEXr HENRY'

Barrels:

28in. fine black powder only damascus barrels with raised matt rib, central section engraved 'ALEXr HENRY, EDINBURGH AND LONDON. / MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGNESS THE PRINCE OF WALES AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH', open sights with ivorine insert and folding leaf sight '250 Yards', bead foresight with flip-up moonsight, Henry patent rifling in perfect condition, sling swivels

Stock:

13 7/8in. highly figured tiger stripe pistolgrip stock, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), cheekpiece, sling swivels, gold shield shaped escutcheon engraved with the Dholpur crest including 1/2in. leather covered recoil pad

Remarks:

Original crocodile-leather covered oak-case in good condition, complete nickel covered loading tools with matching numbers, original cleaning rod and various accessories, original key, replaced case handle.

Unique piece in unused, museum condition.
