A good quality cartridge magazine made of oak, covered in leather hide with brass corners and lock (key missing). Four removable dividers, making five compartments, all fitted with original leather adjustable cartridge lifting straps. The lid is stamped with the owners name 'J.B.O.M.'. The inside of the case is dark red baize with the maker's red leather label with gilt writing: 'JOHN DICKSON & SON - GUN AND RIFLE MANUFACTURERS - 63 PRINCESS STREET - EDINBURGH', 'Patentees of Ejector Hammerless Guns and Rifles'.
A very good and authentic case for the collector or further use in the field.
